Take your teaching skills to the next level by learning how to walk into any classroom setting with confidence and best serve the individuals that are ready and waiting for yoga!. Whether a class is called “open”, “level 1” or “level 2”, teachers are often faced with a room full of students of varying degrees of experience, ability, and interest. This training will focus on the importance of knowing how to “read a room”, understanding the various types of ”learners”, and will provide you with a method and tools to know how to adjust your teaching choices to create a holistic yoga experience for everyone.
We will cover which poses are recommended to teach at the different stages of practice and learning and why, how to adjust your verbal cues, actions and alignment information for different class and student levels, and how to create intelligent sequences that are appropriate for beginning students and interesting and challenging for more experienced practitioners.
*This is a part of the core requirements of the 300hr Teacher Training at Prancing Peacock but is also available as a stand-alone workshop for all 200RYT's with certification from any program. This qualifies as 8 CE credits with Yoga Alliance. Space is limited for outside sign ups!
