Location: The Prancing Peacock
Date: Saturday March 9, 2019 9-5pm
The King, The Queen, The Lotus and The Hero come together in this deep exploration of some of the most iconic yoga postures and how and why we practice them. In the 8 limbed practice, Patanjali informs the practitioner that Asana lays the groundwork for Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dhyana & Dharana. Through experiential practice as well as detailed breakdown and study of high concept alignment and actions for learning and teaching, teachers will come away from this training with a deeper understanding of these specific (and related) poses and how they set us up physically, mentally and energetically for moving towards the subtle and desired state of yoga. You do not need to be able to do these poses! Expect a day of preparations, props, and patience.
*This is a part of the core requirements of the 300hr Teacher Training at Prancing Peacock but is also available as a stand-alone workshop for all 200RYT's with certification from any program. This qualifies as 8 CE credits with Yoga Alliance. Space is limited for outside sign ups!
