Location: The Prancing Peacock
Date: Saturday and Sunday September 22 & 23, 2018 9-5pm
Over the course of this dynamic and empowering weekend, teachers can expect a total shift in the way they think about preparing to teach a Vinyasa class. Rooted in the tradition of Krishnamacarya’s Vinyasa Krama and supported by Iyengar influenced alignment, teachers will learn a specific and clear methodology that can be applied to any foundational knowledge of asana and sequencing. In her signature method of “Dissecting the Pose” and “Creating the Master List”, Stacey Brass-Russell provides a layered approach that allows for total creativity and infinite choices while also providing structure and tools for putting classes together that are intelligent, meaningful and physically on point. This method enables even the most brand new teacher to thoughtfully prepare a class of their own creation with confidence and clear intention, while more experienced teachers will discover a template for teaching more advanced concepts and poses by understanding the preparations, actions and subtle body components on a higher level which is then supported by a more focused approach for giving instructions and cues. Teachers will find this weekend illuminating and compatible with any training background.
This weekend is part of The Prancing Peacock's 300 Hour Teacher Training but can be taken as an individual weekend training and used towards continuing educaiton credits with the Yoga Alliance.
